Mission:

Our mission is to provide an excellent Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade learning experience that enables ALL students to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and attitudes required for middle school and beyond, promoting lifelong learning and productive citizenship in an ever-changing global society.

Goals:

Board of Education Goal One: All students will meet or exceed high academic standards

  • Guided Reading for all students reading below grade level, everyday
  • Reading Intervention utilizing Read Naturally, LiP’S, and Soar to Success programs
  • Retrievers Read at Home program
  • Study Island online Reading and Math program
  • Continued implementation of the Marcia Freeman Writing
  • Implementation of new Houghton Mifflin Math program
  • Math Top Ten Most Significant Skills program

 

Board of Education Goal Two: All students will learn in safe, secure, drug free and inviting environment

  • Implementation of PBIS behavior management program
  • Continued school wide Parent Involvement activities
  • Parent Involvement Team meetings
  • Full compliance of fire drills, civil defense drills, bus evacuation drills and lock down drills for 2007 – 2008 school year
