Essential Question: What natural and human resources influence the Europeans to colonize the New World (America)?

Task

You are working for the newly formed office of tourism for the thirteen colonies. You have been assigned the task of creating a travel brochure (to be distributed in Europe) that would attract settlers to the east coast of North America in the late 1600's/early 1700's. (Colonial times)

Since you are working with a group of people you will be assigned one colony to research.

In order to attract settlers to your colony your brochure will need to be attractive and include the following information:

Geography of colony

Climate of colony

Natural resources

Early settlers (Where were they from?)

Economy (How did settlers make a living?)

Religion of colony

Daily life in the colony

Map of colony
