- Make CMES a welcoming and positive place to learn.
- Teach and model the CMES expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, Caring, and Safe.
- Provide high quality instruction to meet all students’ needs based on formative and summative assessment data.
- Provide opportunities for families to be involved in activities to support what their children are learning in school. (Open House, educational nights, PTO, volunteering, etc.)
- Use conferences, newsletters, surveys, planners, notes, and phone calls to maintain open two-way communication between home and school.
- Help parents to understand and make decisions concerning their child’s needs and progress. (mid-term reports, progress reports, Parent Portal, conferences, notes, etc.)
- Be accessible to families through phone calls, conferences, notes, and emails.

- Communicate a positive attitude about learning and the importance of school.

- Make sure my child is well rested and maintains on-time, regular attendance.
- Ensure that my child has the necessary materials/supplies, including those needed for specials, and a lunch or lunch money each day.
- Check my child’s book bag daily. Read and review important information/graded papers, and return appropriate materials in a timely manner.
- Support my child in completing homework and make-up work. Provide time for reading and practicing math skills each night.
- Maintain open two-way communication with my child’s teachers.
- Keep my child’s emergency contact information up to date.
