Meet Mrs. Elsie Harrigan, Principal

Meet Ms. Meghan Brown, Local Support Teacher

A message from the Office…..

Welcome to Chesapeake City Elementary School and the 2008-2009 school year.  Our school is a community of parents, teachers, community members, paraprofessionals and support staff dedicated to the success of our students.  We are committed to providing a nurturing environment and a quality educational program.  Our School Improvement Plan focuses on academic achievement and school climate.  We are using the Baldrige Educational Framework for Performance to promote continuous improvement with student achievement and stakeholder satisfaction.

Chesapeake City Elementary School is one of 17 elementary schools in Cecil County, Maryland.  The school is located in South Chesapeake City, MD and sits just below the bridge that crosses the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal on Route 213.

Chesapeake City Elementary School serves students from Kindergarten through grade 5.  We currently have just over 300 students enrolled.  Our students come from a variety of neighborhoods and rural areas surrounding the town of Chesapeake City.

Our school has maintained a proud tradition of providing a quality educational program for many years.  Chesapeake City Elementary School has an excellent, highly-qualified staff that works very hard to do what is best for students and families.  Our goal is to maintain a positive and nurturing environment, while providing relevant and appropriately rigorous instructional experiences for all of our children.  We value parents and the community as partners and continue to work together to provide the best educational experience possible.  Parents are always welcome to visit.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Elsie Harrigan, Principal
Meghan Brown, Local Support Teacher
