Physical Education
Welcome back to another exciting year of Physical Education!  We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Parker to CCES as our Integrated Arts teacher.  This new program allows students to double their amount of physical activity.  The more we keep our bodies moving, the better our health will become.
Text Box: During the month of September our Kindergarten through Second Grade students were learning and practicing safety in the gym as well as locomotor skills such as walk, skip, gallop, and hop.  Please encourage your children to demonstrate those skills for you.  In the month of October, students will learn some basic soccer skills.  We will practice dribbling and passing the soccer balls.  We hope the weather will be our friend!
Our Third through Fifth Grade students have been practicing for their Fitnessgram Testing.  The Fitnessgram test includes several components: Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, and Flexibility.  During the first and second weeks in October, students will take part in Fitnessgram testing.  I remind students that this test will not affect their grade.  We are trying to determine if our fitness level is increasing or decreasing throughout the year.  During the month of October we will also begin Soccer activities.

We look forward to a fun and rewarding year at CCES!
