Health Education
Health and Human Services main focus is to teach life skills and make students aware of personal choices and consequences. "No one can make you do anything, but yourself." There are many influences in your life and each person has to use the Decision Making Model to problem solve. My goal is to make students aware of this and make he/she understand that good choices lead to positive consequences, try to eliminate blaming others, and except personal accountability for ones own mistakes.
Some units that will be covered in health may lead to very serious/dangerous consequences and you won't get a second chance. Have the confidence to make the right choice the first time and surround yourself with positive influences.
