For the second consecutive year, all CCPS 6th grade students will be completing a Computer Literacy course through the FAPE rotation cycle. We are combining the traditional classroom with a new virtual classroom, entitled Moodle. This hybrid classroom will allow my students and I to talk to each other at times other then when we are scheduled to be in the room together! Their link for Moodle at home is on the CHMS web page. It promises to be both exciting and challenging throughout our time together. Wish us well on our journey! Mrs. Sharon Rosseel, Technology Educator
Safe Surfing on the Net
CYBERSAFETY All students at CHMS participate in Cybersafety lessons. The Internet provides immediate access to a wealth of information and the ability to communicate with friends and family all over the world. With over 17 million students on the Internet, ages 11 to 14, it is important to help them recognize the types of dangers that they may be susceptible to during this experience. Potential risks children can be exposed to include inappropriate material, sexual solicitation, cyber bullying, or theft of personal information. Students need to be made aware of these unfortunate possibilities and discuss the appropriate steps when handling such a situation. Some sites of useful content for Cybersafety: |
