Animals in Entertainment

You see animals in entertainment all the time. Movies? Fairs? T.V.? For example, in movies, animals are great athletes; or they are killed, hurt, besides being taken away from their habitat.  Most people watch animals ‘ jumping for joy’, thinking the animals really enjoy it.  Are they really enjoying it?  What will filmmakers do to make a lot of money?

Do you think animal’s humans have the right to laugh, bet, or watch animals suffer. Think about bullfights.  The bulls are kept in a dark place, horns partially sawed, and petroleum jelly rubbed in their eyes before they fight.  The matador stabs the bull in the heart, but most of the bull has to be stabbed frequently before it dies.  35,000 bulls are killed in bullfighting in Spain. Does that sound fair?

Rodeos aren’t as fun for animals either. In rodeos, horses are poked and bothered to appear wild.  Electric prods are strapped to their abs, so they buck.  Doesn’t sound very fun, does it.  It is your decision to watch animals suffer or not.  I would stick to watching cartoons.
