Avalanche of smoke is arguably the most deadly part in a volcano. The avalanche of smoke is the first thing to come out of the volcano. Mostly all avalanches are triggered by some kind of earthquake making the smoke to erupt. They can and will tear down anything in front of them including trees and animals. With wind speeds of 200 MPH and carrying large rock it has the potential to knock anything over.
The avalanche can carry large rock ash and mainly smoke. There is no lava involved in the avalanche. It is so deadly that it carries toxic gases making it hard to breath. Almost right after the avalanche the mountain will really erupt sending lava everywhere. In the avalanche it can get so hot that there is sometimes lightning in it.
Sometimes in an avalanche the winds will pick up trees right from the ground and cast them along in the avalanche. If an avalanche would hit a big city it would send all buildings flying and everyone on the street would be blown away. That is what an avalanche of smoke is.
