What do you do if someone does ask you? Like I said, there are billions of ways.  You could try, the simple way by saying, “No thanks.”  There is also the give a reason way by saying, “No I’m into athletics.”  Or offering something else to do like “ No thanks, lets go get some food in stead.”  If they keep pressuring you try saying, “I really meant it when I said no!”  Or an even simpler way is to leave the scene and just walk away.  The easiest way of all is to just avoid the scene.  Like we mentioned, be prepared and know where the drug users meet. And stay away!

What if I said yes?  Well, you would just have to try your hardest to quit.  Did you know that 12 oz beer=4 ½ oz wine=1 oz hard liquor!  It is so easy to get addicted and if you do you will suffer the consequences.  Just try your best to quit and your family will support you 100%.  It is hard to quit. But, it can be easy.

So how do you prepare when someone asks you to use drugs?  There are billions of ways to say no.  I know it is very hard if you think you say yes then you’re all of a sudden so popular.  But if you say no, then you might be less cool.  Well if you think that then you have it backwards.  So think about everything drugs do to you.  Here are some ways on how to say no,

  • Be knowledgeable about drugs.  Know what drugs can do to you so it is a lot easier to resist them.

  • Be prepared.  Find out where drug users go and stay away from that place.

  • Be busy.  Join sports to take your mind off of drugs.  That way, when someone asks you, you could say, “ No thanks. I’m into athletics.

  • Be smart.  Don’t be swayed by fake friendships.  The drug user will try to convince you that you two are friends and would never do anything to hurt you.  If you were smart you would know it was a trick just to hurt you and get you into trouble for the action that they did.
