How to tell if you’re a drug addict

If you think you or anyone else is a drug addict or using drugs, you may be right. You want to make sure first though. There are many signs to tell. Not all of them are good.  Not all of them are bad. Here are signs that you may recognize.

Some of them are getting high or drunk on a daily basis. Lying about the amount of alcohol or other drugs being used, and avoiding you or your other friends to get high or drunk.  Some more signs might be, giving up on activities like sports, homework, or hanging out with friends who don’t take drugs.  The user might have to use increasing amounts of a drug to get the same affects or is constantly talking about alcohol and drugs.  The drug user could also be getting into a lot of trouble at school or with the law dealing with drug abuses and pressuring others to use drugs.  Drug users also feel hopeless and even suicidal.

What do you do if some is definitely taking drugs?  Well there are just six easy steps.  The first step is to talk to some one you trust in private about the problem.  Second step is to then talk about your concern to the drug user.  Third step is expressing your concerns to those you trust and getting this person help as soon as possible.  Fourth step is to give the user some examples of getting high or drunk. Tell them the cause and effects of being drunk or getting high.  Fifth step is to be prepared.  Once you tell them they will get angry and probably deny their problem.  So be prepared to deal with that fact.  The last step is the most important one.  Go with the drug user to a place that can get them help.  If you don’t then that person is not going to be very successful in life.  So do what you can to guide these people to a drug free path.
