NUCLEAR ENERGY

Introduction

NUCLEAR ENERGY

Nuclear energy is one of the leading makers of energy in the world.  It produces about 20% of the world’s electricity. Nuclear energy can also be used to make weapons.  Scientists hope that nuclear energy will help replace the depleted supply of fossil fuel, and it will produce less pollution than fossil fuel.

If nuclear energy could completely replace fossil fuel the world would be a cleaner happier place. If you would like to learn more about nuclear energy look at the links on the bottom of this page.
