| Bay grass is important because it is used as food and/or homes like many of the other plants in the bay. However the bay grass is being swept away by storms. We need the bay grass to stay there. The animals need it more then we do. You may be thinking its just grass, but the animals we eat live off that grass. | ![]() |
Invasive grasses are in the bay every year. They are overpopulating and they are causing trouble for the other plants in the bay. The problem is the plants are not getting enough sun or rain so they die off pretty quickly. The plants need to have sun, water, nutrients, and carbon dioxide. These plants will survive if they get all the things they need. | ||||||||
