How a Hurricane Starts

The things that are needed to make a hurricane happen are the top of the sea or ocean must be 80 degrees or higher. Also cold and warm air must meet and start to rotate in a counterclockwise rotation. Also it takes about a half of a day for the winds to start spinning and eventually they will get faster and faster.

Then the moist hot wind will spiritual up and make a column of low-pressure air that is called the eye. Then the hurricane feeds and gets stronger over the top of the warm water. And the winds make the hurricane move.

Once the hurricane hits land the winds start to slow down. Also it can slow down by going over cold water. That is how a hurricane starts.
