The eye of the hurricane is the calmest part of it. Also in the eye there is hardly any wind if any. But just outside of the eye is the most violent part of it and it has the hardest winds.

 The eye of the hurricane usually measures about 15 miles wide. Sometimes the sun will even show up in the eye. Also some people think of the eye as a break or a half time in the hurricane.

 The eye is kind of a tube of easy weather in the center of the hurricane. Also most of the time more then one eye will form in the hurricane but only one will develop.
