Levels of a Hurricane

There are five levels that a hurricane can reach. One being the smallest and five being the largest. To even be called a hurricane it must have over 74 miles per hour winds. If the winds are less than 74 miles per hour it is called a tropical storm.

A level one-hurricanes winds can go from 74 miles per hour to 96 miles per hour and can cause barley ant damage to trees. A level two hurricane can have winds from 96 miles per hour to 110 miles per hour and can do some damage to trees and mobile homes. A level three hurricane can have winds from 110 miles per hour to 130 miles per hour and can cause the trees to bend over and knock off the leaves.

A level four hurricane can have winds from 130 miles per hour to 155 miles per hour and can cause extensive damage to homes and other objects. A level five hurricane is the worst and has winds from 155 and over and can cause almost anything outside to blow away. Those are all the levels of hurricanes.
