Question:
You are conducting research to find the answers to key questions about your topic. You may choose to use all of the following questions to guide your research OR you may substitute ONE question of your own. Organize and record your findings on Notes paper. Your teacher will collect your notes each day. You will earn a daily formative grade for the content of your notes.

1. What are the key facts (background information) about your ancient topic?

What important legacy have you identified?
Describe the legacy in detail.
When/where did the civilization and legacy exist?
Name the modern country (countries) that exist where this legacy began.


2. What are the key facts (background information) about the modern topic?

 

3. How has your legacy influenced the modern world?

Describe the modern day legacy and compare it to its ancient counterpart.
What is the same/different about the legacy, then and now?
Why/How did the legacy stand the test of time?
Why is this legacy still important today?
How does the legacy impact your life?

4. What does the topic connect to the future?

What obstacles might this legacy face?
What impact/significance might the legacy have on the future?
What changes will occur to this legacy?
