"Achievement is not always success, while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances."

SORT
rearranging information and looking for patterns
Are you missing any necessary facts? If you are missing anything, go back to your sources to locate the needed information. Look for patterns to help you organize and make sense of this new information. Use the questions as a guide. Remember, you will need this to complete the research project!

Here are some tips to help you organize your information:

1. Lay out all of your note cards on a table. Separate them so you have your note cards in one pile and your source cards in another.

2. Group together note cards by topic. (Use the questions to help you.)

3. Read your cards critically. Do you have enough information to write a well-supported paragraph for each category?

4. Put your cards in the order you plan to use them in your paper.

See your teacher now so she can review with you the quality of information and answers you found during your research. Do you have all of your questions answered? Do you need any other information to complete the writing assignments?
It is very important to credit the authors/sources from which you gathered information. See the "Standard Bibliography Form" sheet for the proper bibliographic citation format or refer to the bibliography page for additional help. Or you can visit Slate Citation Machine for help writing an accurate bibliographic citation.
See your teacher now so she can review your bibliographic citations for proper form. You may need to edit some citations.
