Sorting Through Your Information
Sorting is an important step in your research. Here are some tips to help you and your partner organize your information.

1. Lay out all your notecards on a table. Separate them so you have notecards in one pile and bibliography cards in another pile.

2. Read your notecards critically. Do you have enough information to prepare a well-supported pursuasive speech. Do you have enough information to speak for five minutes? Is your information compelling and convincing? Decide which partner will speak to each persuasive point you want to illustrate.

3. Revisit your sources to clear up any confusing or incorrect information.

4. Reorganize your cards in the order in which you plan to use them in your speech. Duplicate script/ notecards if needed. Time your presentation.

5. Review your bibliography cards. Did you follow the correct format for citing your resources? (Use the yellow Standard Bibliography Form available in the library.)

6. Each partner MUST complete his/her own visual, either a poster or diorama. Agree to practice at home so as to present the best possible persuasive speech.
