Rockin' Research!
A WebQuest about Rocks

INTRODUCTION:

Our class has been learning about rocks and minerals in science for the past few weeks. Because we are serious geologists, we need to use scientific resources to get more information about rocks. One place geologists in Maryland can get information is from the Maryland Geological Survey. You and another geologist will share a computer while gathering information. Later, you will make your own project to show what you have learned.

Explore the Maryland Geological Survey website to get started. (To return to this WebQuest, press the "Back" button on the internet browser's toolbar.) Maryland Geological Survey's website looks great, but it's not perfect. With your partner, discuss what needs to be changed or added to this site. Share your ideas with the class.
