Sorting

Step 1
Here is your chance to evaluate your ideas for your research project. Be sure to recheck your notes/sources in order to get the current and relevant information. Revisit the guiding questions to keep you on topic!

Helpful Hints:

  • Separate your source cards from your notecards. (Be sure the notecards have the correct source card number.)
  • Group notecards by topic and check that you have plenty of information.
  • There should only be one idea per notecard.
  • Put the notecards in the order that you plan to use them.

Step 2
Student/Teacher conference will determine student progress. At this time, you will show your teacher your completed note and source cards. Your teacher will also be reviewing your progress in your Student Research Guide. You may not move onto the next part of the process until this conference is completed and have received teacher feedback.
