Each of the different science courses include scientific investigations. A skill that is important in scientific and technical careers is the ability to clearly communicate your results. One way you will develop those skills is to prepare formal lab reports in your science classes based on the results of your laboratory investigations. Before beginning an investigation, the first step is design an experiment including a specific plan that describe what data you plan to collect and what you plan to do with this data. Here are links to the standard forms used in our classes.

Grading Rubric for Formal Lab Report
All Biology students will be taking the Maryland High School Assessment Test at the completion of the course. In preparation for this test, science teachers will use the same rubric to score constructed response questions throughout their courses that will be used to score the state test.
