Expectations for Punctuality
All students are expected to arrive to school at a time that will allow them to be in their first period class by 7:40 a.m. Students who are not in class by 7:40 a.m. will be required to report to the main office to sign in with the attendance secretary.
Breakfast will not be served after 7:30 a.m.
Students are provided ample time between classes to go from one classroom to their next class. Depending on the location of a student’s locker, s/he may not be able to go to the locker between each class. Students are expected to use time between classes wisely so that they are on time to all classes. Students who are not in their classroom when the bell rings are considered to be tardy. Five minutes or more late without an excused reason will be considered cutting class.
Consequences for tardiness may include: after school detention, MIP, Saturday School, mandatory parent conference before return to school, Alternative Suspension Program, and out-of-school suspension.
