Practice, practice practice...makes perfect!

All sixth graders at EMS take a basic keyboarding class. Emphasis is on proper hand position and posture while building speed and accuracy during keyboarding sessions. Students receive this instruction during one of their content subject area time slots. Keyboarding grades are added as a summative grade to that content area. Several online keyboarding resources are listed below. Many will allow students to practice their keyboarding skills online and give feedback as to progress.

REMEMBER: speed and accuracy only improve with PRACTICE!

This site lets you pick the letters you would like to practice in the drill drop down menu on the upper left. Type each line twice with a return at the end of the line. Tab to get to the next box.
