This year, our school became an official PBIS school. PBIS is a program that focuses on teaching the students how they can be successful academically, as well as socially. Our school has implemented the 3Ps as our own way of teaching the students how to be successful. The 3Ps are Positive, Prepared, and Productive. As students show these 3Ps in all areas around the school, they are rewarded with Golden Tickets or classroom rewards, which vary by grade level.
Our very own Mr. Moon created a chant to help the students remember their 3Ps. Click below to hear that chant. Ask your child to show you the dance that goes with the chant!
Here is a video of some of our 1st graders who demonstrated the 3Ps dance on our morning announcements. If the video doesn't start on its own, click your space bar to start, pause, and play again. Enjoy!

Systems Thinking
Systems Thinking is a method of teaching/learning where the students create their own goals. Next, they determine their own strategies to reach those goals. Data is periodically collected and analyzed as a class and one-on-one with the teacher. Results are graphed, and new goals and strategies are created and implemented by the students.
