Back-To-School Ice Cream Social
On Friday, August 21st, the students of Leeds were invited to come back to school to meet their new teachers, see some old friends, and HAVE SOME ICE CREAM! This popular event is an annual event here at Leeds and is always a BIG success. Take a look at how much fun these people had not only partaking of the ice cream, but also meeting their new teacher for the year!

PTO Back-To-School Bingo Night
On Friday, September 18th was a night to get back to school for a fun event. The PTO Back-To-School Bingo Night was JUST such an event. This event brought out students of all grade levels to play bingo for all sorts of WONDERFUL prizes. The students could even sit at the table of their favorite teacher if they wanted to during the event. Mr. Whisner and Mr. Moon offered their voices to the evening to call the numbers and a great time was had by all!

PTO Trick-Or-Treat Night
Where else would you see Glenda, the Good Witch, the Wicked Witch of the North, Dorothy, Shrek, some ninjas, pirates and ghosts and all SORTS of others ALL together having a BIG NIGHT! Well, on Friday, October 23rd, at Leeds, you could have seen JUST THAT at the 1st ever TRICK-OR-TREAT night! Students donned their costumes and so did many teachers and staff members for a fun and memorable evening of candy, cake walks, and spookiness!

Veteran's Day
On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, Leeds Elementary welcomed several Veterans into the building for this Veteran's Day program. The student's listened to them speak, saw pictures, and even heard from the LES Colts Chorus during our program. It was a very patriotic program.

PTO McSpirit Night
Let's meet for dinner! On Thursday, November 12th, Leeds Elementary School got together at McDonalds for their annual McSpirit Night. Food, fun, and a lot of laughs with everyone who turned out! This is always a great time for EVERYONE who comes out.

Turkey Trot
One of the most exciting and enjoyable activities of the year, this year's Turkey Trot did not disappoint. All of the students had an opportunity to get outside and run on Monday, November 16th for heart-health AND to show CARING, as the students each shared a canned-food to participate. These canned-foods were donated to the Elkton Help Center before Thanksgiving.

Grandparent's Day
The Grandparent's of many of our students came in to share a meal and a class or two during late November. These pictures can show you just how happy these children were to have their special guests here!

1st Quarter Awards Assembly
Many students were awarded for their work in the 1st quarter at this awards assembly. Students in Pre-Kindergarten - Fifth Grade were awarded during the assembly. Not all students were present for the assembly.
