Leeds Elementary School's Mission Statement
In our everyday duties as educators, we will put forth our best efforts to ensure that every child receives the support that is vital to personal fulfillment and academic success. We will work to ensure that the children of Leeds Elementary School receive a quality, diverse education, to decrease achievement gaps among subgroups and prepare our children to go forth into the world as life long learners.
Leeds Elementary School's Vision Statement
Leeds Elementary School will provide a safe, enjoyable, and nurturing learning environment to encourage students to become independent lifelong learners. Students will receive quality instruction targeting their diverse needs to ensure academic and social success.
3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Students are participating in the Maryland State Assessments from Monday, March 8th - Tuesday, March 16th! To help your child perform well on these assessments, students should get a good night's sleep each night, eat a healthy breakfast each morning, and get to school on time each day. Following these few tips will help our students be at their best during the MSA to show how much they have learned!
Wednesday, March 17th is NO HOMEWORK Spirit Day!
Get out your poodle skirts and leather jackets. Friday, March 26th is 50's Day here at Leeds Elementary School - dress like they did "back in the day"!
PTO will sponsor the popular SOCK HOP on Friday, March 26th from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the LES Multi-Purpose Room. So come on out - it's free and a LOT of fun EACH YEAR!
Due to weather related cancellations, Thursday, April 1st, is NOW a SCHOOL DAY for students!
