A variety of applets are available: money, time, place value, and algebra blocks. Within each topic there is a lesson, instructions, and background infromation for the student to read. http://mathforum.org/mathtools - MathTools - A variety of interactive tools are available for K-College level mathematics. Tools are categorized by course, topic, resource type, and technology type. This community site is a collection of many other websites and a good way to get an overview of what is available on the internet. www.matti.usu.edu - National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, Over 100 high quality award winning applets are organized by grade level and NCTM Standards. Each applet is accomplanied by instructions, lessons plans, suggestions for outside activities, assessment suggestions, examples of similar physical manipulatives, and links to the NCTM Principles and Standards. http://illuminations.nctm.org - NCTM Illuminations Tools - For each Illuminations tool, a title, picture, grade level, and description are given. Once the tool is opened, instructions, activities, and interactive hints are given. http://standards.nctm.org/document/eexamples/ - NCTM E-Examples, E-examples are organized by grade levels, with the NCTM Standards highlighted and hyperlinked to the NCTM's Standards. Each E-example gives a direct connection to the on-line applet and a variety of instructional suggestions. http://www.peda.com/poly - Poly, Poly is a program that can be used in investigate polyhedral shapes. Shapes can be displayed as a three-dimensional image and as a net. The three-dimensional images can be rotated and folded/unfolded. Physical models may be produced by printing out nets.
