Dear Parents-

    This school year is flying by! As we finished up the third marking period, students did a wonderful job in all subject areas. We read about different families in reading, kept working on our animal research report in writing, and continued to subtract with regrouping.
    As we enter the fourth and final marking period of the school year students will be learning the following:
      

• Reading: We will begin our new theme “Talent Show” in which students read about people with amazing talents.
• Writing: We will continue to work on our Animal Research Reports. Students will add hooks to their writing.
• Math: Students will learn about shapes, patterns, as well as three digit addition and subtraction.
• Science: We will begin our unit on insects. We will study life cycles and characteristics of different insects. This is a very exciting unit!
• Social Studies: We will continue to work on geography skills. We will also begin our unit on Economics.

Please remember to sign your child’s planner each night. We are looking forward to a fun-filled fourth marking period!
