The Health Department of Cecil County has completed our schools H1N1 and Seasonal FluMist vaccine clinics. If you would like your child(ren) to receive a vaccination against H1N1 or Seasonal Flu please contact the health department at 410-996-5550. Please note – the health dept no longer provides lice treatment (Rid, Nix) or checks children for head lice.

As you are aware, poor vision and/or hearing may affect your child’s ability to learn. If your child received a vision and/or hearing referral please follow up with their doctor ASAP and notify the school of the doctors findings.

As a reminder please keep your child home from school if they are vomiting; severe pain in their ears; pink/red eye; crusting, swelling or pain in their eye(s); possible broken bone, severe throat pain; etc. Children who have a fever should not return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours.

If your child is in need of dental care and you have Medicaid (Doral Dental Insurance) you are eligible to visit the new University of Maryland Dental School Clinic in Perryville. The phone number to the Perryville location is 410-706-4900 or toll free 877-232-4050.

I would like to thank those of you that have recently donated clothing to our school clothes cabinet. I am still in need of bigger size pants (size 8 to 12) if anyone has some they would like to donate.

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at school.
