Student Kudos

Do you know about an honor or award given to one of our NEHS students? E-mail them to the webmasternehs@ccps.org so we can all celebrate their accomplishments!

Keynote Speakers: Rahneisha Duncan, Danielle Harrington, Tiana Graves, Kari Gill, Tiffany Honaker, and Justin Ryan Grzybowski were invited to speak at the Building Effective Practices in Dropout Prevention: A Summit for State and Local Education Agencies. Their presentation, "Staying on the Path to Graduation: Honoring Student Voice and Choice" was delivered in Baltimore on Tuesday, November 17. Congratulations for representing NEHS!

Becca Borland, grade 11, has been selected to attend the 2009 National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC. This six-day program puts students through a series of simulations of various issues facing our country today.

Taylor Grossath, 9th grade, participated in the Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Taylor completed 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Cecil County School of Technology inducted three NEHS students into the National Technical Honor Society on September 29, 2009. Congratulations to Allied Health students:

The Cross County Team took home a 2nd place win at the Hawk Run Invitational on Sept 18th. Congratulations to the team and coach, Ms. Ferentz!

CJ Griffith - Grade 12 attended the Congressional Student Leadership Conference sponsored by Lead America for the second year, in Aviation & Aeronautics and now is going for his pilot’s license at Elkton Airport.  This program is for academically talented and promising young leaders from across the United States.
