A message from the Principals August 2010 …….

Welcome to the new school year!  We are very busy at Perryville Elementary School putting the finishing touches on the building and classrooms in order to get ready for the students to return! 

If you haven’t already done so, mark your calendars to make time for our Panda Social on August 24th from 3:00 until 4:00 in front of Perryville Elementary.  You will have the opportunity to find your name on the class lists and then meet your new teacher, your new classmates, and your new principal!  Your teacher should be pretty easy to spot since she will be one of the ones wearing a balloon! Keep your eyes open for your new principal, Mrs. Derby. When you find her, make sure to introduce yourself since she and Mrs. Riser will have a nice treat for you!
        
Hopefully by now, you have received the back to school letter that tells families about some useful information about the school.  The biggest difference will be the change in the dismissal order and location of the car loop. Beginning this year, students who are signed up for the car loop and students who are signed out at the end of the day will be called first for dismissal.  The car loop students will be dismissed through the gymnasium door.  When you come to the Panda Social, car loop staff will be available to answer questions and there will be many signs with arrows to help point you in the right direction for the first day of school.
        
I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of the families of Perryville Elementary School. I believe that when families and schools work together, we can make a difference for all of our children.
