Grade 3 News
Your child’s third grade year is coming to a close. Where has the time gone. During the fourth marking period we will have many exciting events taking place.
May will be a very busy month. We will be visiting an Amish farm and Longwood Gardens. Students will be participating in the third grade economics unit activity called mini-society. Students will be creating a business or a service. They will use tiger paws (our mini-society money) to purchase goods and services from other students. Mini-society will be held twice in May. Students take what they learn from the first mini-society and make changes to their business if needed for the second mini-society. Field day is also in May. Please keep an eye out for more information regarding each of these exciting events.
Even though we will be very busy with all of these exciting learning events, we will still be working hard in the classroom to prepare for the transition to fourth grade.
We will continue to work hard during the fourth marking period to prepare for fourth grade.
