RSMS Field Trips to Longwood Gardens

The field trips introduce students to art-related careers in the world’s most famous gardens. Longwood Gardens is twenty- seven minutes from RSMS and is located in Kennett Square, Pa.

Tiger Longwood Discovers Longwood

Tiger was busy visiting Longwood Gardens this summer. He followed your footsteps throughout the gardens, conservatory, fountains, water lilies, and buildings. Our new traveling friend is ready to explore Longwood Gardens with you. Please check out some of the photographs and Longwood Gardens.

Longwood Journals

After watching the Longwood Gardens video in class, we wrote summaries describing the types of careers, jobs, processes, history, and the organization’s mission. We discuss the importance as a team and what art-related careers are present at Longwood.

Harvest Festival Field Trip – September 2006

The students spend the day creating art at Longwood Gardens with guest photographers and teachers. The Conservatory, dramatic fountains, magnificent gardens, historic houses, and beautiful scenery attract visitors from around the world. We also enjoyed the gourd display.

Field Trip May ‘06

Spring flowers became the focus of the images of Longwood. We returned to see the change in seasons. After lunch, we continued to create more art with our camera, sketchbooks and journals!

Celebrations

Tiger Longwood celebrated Founder’s Day during the summer at

Longwood Gardens Tiger enjoyed the tours, exhibits,

performing artists, having a piece of the huge birthday cake.
