Mission Statement
To prepare students to be successful members of a global society by promoting sensitivity in a rigorous academic environment that addresses the diverse needs of all stakeholders.
Goals
A high performing ETMA liaison system will work toward the following results:
By 2010, all schools will report YES on all responses on the MSDE ETMA School Protocols as measured by MSDE Protocol Checklist (once every two years).
Maryland State Bylaw for Education That is Multicultural
All students in Maryland’s public schools, without exception, have the right to education environments that are safe, optimal for academic achievement, and free from any form of harassment.
ETMA is....
A continuous, integrated, multiethnic, multidisciplinary process for educating all students about diversity and commonality. Diversity factors include but are not limited to race, ethnicity, region, religion, gender, language, socioeconomic status, age, and individuals with disabilities.
