I am very excited about beginning a new school year as a first grade teacher at North East Elementary School!  This is my 11th year teaching for Cecil County Public Schools. 

Why am I teaching?

I have a love for teaching and creating an environment that promotes the importance of learning.  I will encourage my students to value learning, develop their unique learning style and overcome the challenges that will be present.  Each student I work with is important and appreciated.  I will model caring and respect and expect my students to behave in this manner.  The students and I will revisit the following terms throughout the year to make sure the learning process is purposeful and productive.

Mission: a strongly felt aim, ambition, or calling

Goal: the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result

Character: the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual

Quality: the degree of excellence of something
