Hello everyone.  I am very excited to be teaching fourth grade. This is my sixth year teaching fourth grade and my second year at Rising Sun Elementary School. I received my undergraduate degree from Towson University and I completed my masters at University of Delaware in May of 2016. 

When I am not studying or taking the role of a teacher I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors with my husband and my daughter Emily. I love to stay active with bike riding, playing sports, and hiking.

Hello everyone.  I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade again this year. This is my thirteenth year teaching fourth grade at Rising Sun Elementary School. After going to Rising Sun Elementary, middle and high school, I received my bachelors degree from University of Maryland and I completed my masters at Towson University.  

I love teaching and I love my students, which I fondly call “My Finley Frogs."  When I am not teaching,  I enjoy gardening, yoga, cooking, and spending time with my husband, Patrick, and my beautiful daughters, Sasha and Sage. I have one hedgehog named Tea Cup and lots of fish.

Greetings Rising Sun Families!
 
I am excited for a new school year to begin!  This will be my 18th year of teaching and my second year here at Rising Sun.  I am originally from PA, where I graduated from West Chester University.  I have taught both first and second grade in PA and Anne Arundel County, MD. 
 
I am eager to continue my adventures as a fourth grade teacher here in Rising Sun.  Reading and Language Arts are my passion and I have my Master’s and National Board Certification in Reading and Literacy.  I can’t wait to bring the joys of reading and writing to our fourth graders. 
 
I live with my husband and 2 daughters.  We also have a cat named Callie.  When I’m not teaching or spending time with my family, I enjoy running, enjoying music and crafts.   
 
I can’t wait to welcome my students to discover and learn together in fourth grade!

Hello everyone! My name is Kimberly Yaun and I am a fourth grade language arts teacher. I have been teaching at Rising Sun Elementary School since 2005 and before that I taught in Baltimore County for two years. I live in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania with my two energetic children and fantastic husband. When I'm not at school I love playing games with my children, visiting museums, reading, and practicing yoga. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. I love my job and I love empowering children with education!
