Dental
-
Tooth decay (or dental caries) is one of the most common chronic childhood diseases - five times more common than asthma and seven times more common than hay fever. Cecil County Public Schools understands that oral health is an integral part of overall health. Through agreements with the Oral Health Impact Project (OHIP), the Cecil County Health Department, and the University of Maryland, in-school dental services can be provided to all students whose parents provide written consent. This includes routine examinations and cleaning, dental x-rays, sealants (when appropriate) and preventive and restorative services, such as filling cavities.
