Service Delivery Models
Cecil County Public Schools Special Education services are located in each of our twenty nine schools. Services and supports are provided according to the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). In addition to specially designed instruction, students with disabilities may require related services such as speech language, occupational and/or physical therapy which are provided in each of our schools.
CCPS classrooms represent a diverse learning environment. School leaders create a culture of collaboration to effectively meet the needs of all students regardless of the disability. The ultimate goal is students learning together with the supports and services they need to participate and make progress in the general education curriculum. Differentiated Instruction, Response to Intervention and Universal Design for Learning structures provide students the necessary strategies, reinforcement, and instruction for students to access the general education curriculum in addition to the specially designed instruction.
