Bay View Elementary School is located in North East, Maryland, and we are one of eight school-wide Title I elementary schools in Cecil County. Our students benefit from Title I funding because it provides us with additional classroom resources, family involvement programs, and professional development for staff members. Using Title I funds has allowed us to purchase additional technology for our students, and we have additional teachers to provide targeted reading and math instruction for identified students. We also qualify for the Maryland Meals for Achievement Program, which provides free breakfast for all students. The talented Bay View staff ensures that students are engaged in academically challenging learning activities in an environment that is emotionally safe. Students are expected to work hard, put forth their best effort, and demonstrate the Bay View BARK: Be Prepared, Act Responsibly, Respect Our School Community, and Keep Safe. Bay View has a strong Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that fully supports our school. The PTO provides funding for Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) book distributions two times per year, assemblies, recess equipment, an enhanced early childhood playground, and teacher appreciation. The PTO also organizes evening events for families and fundraisers for our school.
