  • Calvert Elementary School is located in north-central Cecil County, close to the intersection of Routes 272 and 273. The first Calvert School was a log cabin, erected in this general vicinity in 1730. Since then, several school buildings have housed the students who would attend Calvert over the next 270 years. Nestled in the midst of rich farmland, Calvert has maintained a connection with the agricultural community that surrounds it.

The teachers and staff at Calvert Elementary School provide exemplary educational experiences for students from PreKindergarten through grade 5. Expectations for learning and behavior are high and the entire school community works to support our BUCKs philosophy for excellence. We are proud to have been recognized at the silver and gold levels by the state of Maryland for our PBIS(Positive Behavior Intervention System) accomplishments over the past eight years. Our current school goals are focused on providing equitable rigorous learning opportunities, maintaining effective communication, engaging the community, and providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff.
