Diana B. Hawley
Diana Hawley has a background in early childhood education and early intervention and has been an active volunteer, leader, and advocate for Cecil County Public Schools for over 10 years. She graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a degree in Psychology and a concentration in child development. She currently works as an Adjunct Faculty member at Cecil College.
Diana and her husband Gordon moved to Cecil County in 2004. They have two children, Cailyn (a high schooler) and Gavin (a middle school student), who both attend Cecil County Public Schools and have done so since kindergarten. In addition to her work in the schools, this experience has also allowed her to become familiar with many aspects of the school system and see both the successes and challenges we encounter at various levels.
Ms. Hawley was elected to the Board of Education in 2018. She brings a positive energy, a passion for excellence, and a strong dedication to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, make decisions in the best interest of all students, and serve our county -- and our children -- through this work.
