Christie L. Stephens
Christie Stephens has been an active volunteer, leader, and advocate for Cecil County Public Schools for 8 years. She graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Psychology and is currently working to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science with a Certificate in Community Engagement.
Christie and her husband Frankie moved to Cecil County in 2002. Frankie works for the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office and is a member of the Delaware Air National Guard. They have four children. Ava, London, and Heidi attend Cecil County Public Schools. Ford, their youngest, has a couple of years to go before he’s a CCPS student.
Ms. Stephens was elected to the Board of Education in 2018. She believes, as a community, we have a duty to ensure every student has access to an excellent public school education. She is deeply invested in Cecil County and is proud to be a part of a hard-working, generous community. She believes that change does not occur with one individual or idea, but instead from a whole community coming together, each doing their part. She hopes to continue the forward progress that CCPS has led with in recent years.
