Christie L. Stephens
Christie Stephens has been an active volunteer, leader, and advocate for Cecil County Public Schools for 8 years. She graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Psychology and is currently working to complete a degree in Behavioral Science with a certificate in Community Engagement. Christie is a trained volunteer with CASA of Cecil County (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and is a Parent Ambassador with Action for Healthy Kids, a national non-profit organization, raising the bar on the health of the whole child.
Christie and her husband, Frankie, moved to Cecil County in 2002. They have four children (Ava, London, Heidi, and Ford) who attend Cecil County Public Schools.
Ms. Stephens was elected to the Board of Education in 2018. She believes that school boards represent a high-impact vehicle for improving schools in our home communities. She is deeply invested in Cecil County and is proud to be a part of a hard-working, generous community. She believes that change does not occur with one individual or idea, but instead from a whole community coming together, each doing their part. She hopes to continue the forward progress that CCPS has led with in recent years.
