William H. Malesh
Mr. William Malesh has been a resident and small business owner in Cecil County for over 35 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Maryland, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study (CASE) in Educational Leadership also from Johns Hopkins University. Bill retired from Baltimore County Public Schools after 32 years of teaching and also spent a year teaching at West Nottingham Academy. He served six years in the Maryland National Guard. He has volunteered and chaired the Perryville Zoning Board of Appeals for the past 30 years.
Bill and his wife Melissa, also an educator, are the parents of two Cecil County Public School graduates. His daughter Sarah teaches for Harford County Public Schools. His son Ben attends Cecil College and coaches Destination Imagination in Perryville Middle School. His daughter Patricia has served as an educator and assistant professor in several universities across the country.
Mr. Malesh believes in a school system that provides a solid foundation for becoming a lifelong learner and productive citizen. He believes nothing will affect the joy, success, and economic well-being of a county more than well-educated citizens. He is honored to have the opportunity to serve the families of Cecil County as a member of the Cecil County Board of Education.
