How to Enroll into CCPS
2026-2027 School Year early enrollment is open as of April 1, 2026
CCPS utilizes an online enrollment process for all students. Parents/guardians will be able to complete the enrollment using any device that is connected to the internet.
In order to determine the student's eligibility and identify your child's school, the following should be considered:
- Children age 5 by September 1 and not age 21 on the first day of school are eligible for enrollment in grades Kindergarten - 12.
- Prekindergarten 4 eligibility requires a child to be 4 by September 1.
- Prekindergarten 3 eligibility requires a child to be 3 by September 1. The child must also have an active Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
To determine what the local school is for a specific address, you can access the School Locator or contact the office of Transportation at 410-996-5414.
If the child does not live with a parent, legal guardian, or certified relative, contact the Student Services office at 410-996-5490.

Parents/Guardians registering their children for the first time in a Cecil County Public School must provide proof of age, identity, county residency and immunizations. If not up to date, required immunizations must be completed within 20 days of registration.
Students who have previously attended school in grades Kindergarten through 12 should bring their latest report card, if available. Students receiving special education services should bring a copy of the current Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Students of families living in transition (homeless) are to be enrolled regardless of enrollment documentation. The school and parent/guardian must obtain the information in a timely manner.
Prekindergarten 3 & 4 Specialized Enrollment Options
Eligible families interested in Prekindergarten 3 programming will be enrolled by the school system into one of our 8 prekindergarten 3 locations or may elect to enroll their child with an eligible private provider. Private provider options are available for families interested in both Prekindergarten 3 and Prekindergarten 4 programming. Our private provider locations include Mount Aviat Academy, Trinity Preschool, Aspire PreK Program, Kid City, or HJC Early Learning Center. The options for who may serve as a private provider location is based on the private providers who applied and received grants through the Maryland State Department of Education. The opportunity to enroll at a selected private provider location is based on the availability of open seats within that location, meeting eligibility criteria for prekindergarten 3 or prekindergarten 4, and the ability to self-transport the child to the location (no bus services are offered to private provider locations).
