How to Enroll into CCPS

2024-2025 School Year early enrollment is open as of May 1, 2024.

CCPS is implementing an online enrollment process for all students. Parents/guardians will be able to complete the enrollment using any device that is connected to the internet.

In order to determine the student's eligibility and identify your child's school, the following should be considered:

  • Children age 5 by September 1 and not age 21 on the first day of school are eligible for enrollment in grades Kindergarten - 12.
  • Prekindergarten eligibility requires a child to be 4 by September 1.
  • Preschool Typical Peer eligibility requires a child to be 3 by September 1.

To determine what the local school is for a specific address, you can access the School Locator or contact the office of Transportation at 410-996-5414.

If the child does not live with a parent, legal guardian, or certified relative, contact the Student Services office at 410-996-5490.

Parents registering their children for the first time in a Cecil County Public School must provide proof of age, identity, country residency and immunizations. If not up to date, required immunizations must be completed within 20 days of registration.

Students who have previously attended school in grades Kindergarten through 12 should bring their latest report card, if available. Students receiving special education services should bring a copy of the current Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Students of homeless families are to be enrolled regardless of enrollment documentation. The school and parent/guardian must obtain the information in a timely manner.

Beginning this year, eligible families will be provided the opportunity to enroll their child in the Maryland Prekindergarten Program and choose from several different settings, if those settings are available. Prekindergarten for qualifying 4-year-olds in Cecil County will be available in elementary schools and in private provider settings. You will be provided a list of the various Prekindergarten options available this year. The options for private providers are based on the eligible private providers who applied and received grants to participate this year.

At this time, there is one private provider in Cecil County who has been awarded a grant to participate - Mount Aviat Academy.  You may go to the Mount Aviat website for more information regarding this program - www.MountAviat.org.
