The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act defines students in transition as those who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nightime redidence and may be (reference Cecil County Public Schools' policy and regulation addressing Education for Homeless Students-Policy JLG and Regulation JLG-RA): In a shelter (family, domestic, violence, or transitional living facility); In a motel, hotel, campground, trailer, or weekly rate housing; Temporary living with more than one family because of financial hardship; In inadequate housing, such as, an abandoned building, car, campground, or on the street.
