Summer is meant to be a beautiful time of rest, renewal, and joy, filled with great memories. However, we know that mental health concerns and the everyday challenges of parenting don't take a summer break. With a shift in routine, children and grandchildren often spend more time on their phones and social media—spaces that don't always promote the positive messaging essential for their well-being and relationships.

Navigating these summer shifts doesn't mean your family is struggling - it just means you're navigating real life. This year, we want to move past the labels and shift the conversation toward what it takes to help your family truly fluorish together.

True to our Cecil County Public Schools culture of care and commitment to the whole child, we want to introduce you to a new, free resource: Parent Coaching by ParentGuidance.org. This program pairs you with a certified coach to support your efforts in guiding your children to be their best selves.

Registration is entirely easy, anonymousconfidential, and HIPPA protected! To see how a coach can help you navigate modern parenting with greater balance, check out this quick video on How to Register for Parent Coaching.

Sharing resources like these helps de-stigmatize conversations around mental health while bringing hope to anyone who might be feeling vulnerable. Just one family sharing this with another can spark a wave of connection and care across our community. Together, we can ensure CCPS continues to shine as a place where every child, family, and staff member is nurtured, supported, and ready to thrive!

"Coaching has helped me be more mindful of raising a child in this day and age. How it is different from when we were kids and it's okay to give myself grace. I am a first time parent and it's okay to not be perfect."
