Cecil County Public Schools is excited to share information about our partnership with the Cecil County Public Library, where all students receive a Cecil County Public Library Virtual Library Card For almost 10 years, we have worked with the Cecil County Public Library to provide this service to our students and staff. - The virtual library card allows students to log in and use the public library’s digital resources, such as homework helplines, SAT prep, audiobooks, and digital databases.
- With this card, students have the opportunity to check out books from the public library and have them delivered to their school. The video above shows how students can check out a book from the library.
- The school media specialist will review all books delivered to the school for appropriateness, and the media specialist may call home to discuss the selection with parents if the title is outside their school level.
- Parents can opt out of this service by completing the back-to-school information in the fall or by contacting the main office of their school.
