PreKindergarten
The Cecil County Public Schools' PreK program is a full-day program with classes at each elementary school. PreKindergarten is a tier-based program that serves as an early intervention service for children considered at risk for school readiness and school success.
PreK requirements: Students must be
- Four by September 1, 2024
- A resident of Cecil County
This year, eligible families will be provided the opportunity to enroll their child in the Maryland Prekindergarten Program and choose from several different settings, if those settings are available. Prekindergarten for qualifying4-year-oldsin Cecil County will be available in elementary schools and in a private provider setting. When registering, you will be given the opportunity to choose Cecil County Public Schools or the private provider (Mount Aviat Academy). The options for private providers are based on the eligible private providers who applied and received grants to participate.
There are two private providers in Cecil County who have been awarded a grant to participate - Mount Aviat Academy and Trinity Preschool.
